Atlantic Logs & Lumber exports Azobe (Ekki) round logs from Liberia, together with selected West African hardwood species including Tali and Iroko, subject to availability and buyer requirements.
Timber is sourced through our Liberian operations and prepared for high-volume international supply. Depending on the commercial specification and shipment scale, orders can be moved either in containers or as break-bulk cargo.
Containerized programmes are shipped in 40ft containers, with a minimum commercial consignment of 50 containers. Break-bulk arrangements may be considered for larger-volume transactions where vessel loading provides the more practical logistics solution.

- Each log is physically measured at the yard using calibrated tools. Girth and length are recorded log-by-log and cross-referenced against the buyer's agreed specification before the parcel is committed to a shipment.
- Small-end and mid-diameter are checked to confirm the parcel meets the contracted minimum, average and maximum diameters. Outliers are flagged and either regraded or excluded from the loading list.
- Length is verified against the agreed range (typically 4–12 m for round logs). Trimming instructions are issued at the yard where required so the loaded stow matches the buyer's dimensional profile.
- Species identification is confirmed through end-grain, bark and colour characteristics and, where relevant, cross-checked against the concession's harvest declaration. Mixed-species parcels are separated before marking.
- Each log is inspected for splits, shakes, rot, insect activity and mechanical damage. Defect findings are documented and used to grade the parcel against the buyer's acceptance criteria.
- Overall log condition — freshness, moisture indicators and stow suitability — is assessed to reduce the risk of in-transit degradation on both container and break-bulk shipments.
- Every log carries a unique identifier that ties it back to the source concession, the FDA declaration and the loading manifest, giving buyers a traceable record from forest to port.
- Atlantic coordinates on-site supervision during stuffing or vessel loading — verifying quantities, marks and stow integrity — so the cargo that leaves Buchanan, Monrovia or Freeport matches what was inspected.
- Commercial invoice, packing list, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin and FDA export documentation are reviewed for accuracy and consistency with the physical cargo before the shipment sails.
This oversight helps reduce discrepancies and provides buyers with clearer visibility before cargo departs Liberia.
